Man nearly drowns at Res

An unidentified 20-year-old man, who many spectators thought had drowned Tuesday while swimming in the Coralville Reservoir, was alive and undergoing treatment as of 8 p.m. Tuesday night, according to a statement from the Johnson County Sheriffs Office.

The incident stunned holiday revelers, who believed they had failed to resuscitate the man after pulling him from the lake floor near crowded West Overlook Beach.
