04/28/06 - To the Cigar, The darling of the rightwing at the University of Rhode Island, and ultra-conservative Mayor Laffeys point man to organize students in the Mayors bid to unseat US Senator Chafee next fall, is in a multi-party tug-of-war. The main issues have to do with what he knows or doesnt know about some “dirty tricks” and possible political shenanigans involving him, the College Republicans, or other parties.

The long car ride comes to an end. Shortly I will be moving beyond The Daily Targum to the memories of graduation and the hallways of Columbia Universitys Graduate School of Journalism.My many years at the Targum have been productive, life-changing and completely fulfilling.
